Blockchain and DeFi Workshop

The Blockchain and DeFi Workshop is an engaging and transformative event aimed at exploring the potential of blockchain technology and decentralized finance (DeFi) to create a better future for health and human development. Over the course of three days, participants will dive into understanding how blockchain can reshape the way we approach healthcare systems, financial inclusion, and global health challenges. This workshop is designed to be a collaborative, hands-on experience where technical experts, innovators, and thought leaders work together to design sustainable, future-focused solutions. The importance of this workshop lies in the opportunity it offers to bridge the gap between the technology of blockchain and its practical applications in real-world settings. As blockchain and DeFi continue to revolutionize industries globally, understanding the technical and social dimensions of these innovations is critical. The workshop will follow a structured 4-day process, each day building toward tangible outcomes:

Day 1-3: Creative Process

Participants will engage in a series of hackathons, design-thinking sessions, and collaborative discussions to:

• Envision the future we want to create for health and human development using blockchain and DeFi.

• Understand the technical workings of blockchain systems and the social issues that accompany their implementation.

• Explore how decentralized finance can be leveraged to improve healthcare access, reduce inequality, and foster innovation.

• Identify challenges and opportunities related to governance, security, and inclusivity in the DeFi ecosystem.

These activities will be guided by keynote speeches and presentations from leading experts, followed by facilitated dialogue that encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration. Participants will work in teams to "hack the future," developing innovative solutions to real-world problems.

Day 4: Tangible Outcomes

On the final day, teams will present their prototypes, solutions, or business models. The goal is for participants to:

• Deliver tangible products or service ideas that could directly impact health and human development.

• Form organizations or partnerships that will take these products to market, ensuring continued collaboration beyond the summit.

• Showcase solutions that could be immediately scaled or tested in real-world environments.
