What is swapping?
Swapping refers to the process of exchanging one cryptocurrency for another. Cryptocurrency swaps are commonly facilitated through decentralized exchanges (DEX) like Uniswap, PancakeSwap, and Sushiswap.
What are the steps for swapping in PancakeSwap?
Add ACT as a custom token.:
Before you can swap ACT on PancakeSwap, you need to add it as a custom token to your wallet.
To do this, you need to find the contract address of ACT, which is a unique identifier for the token on the blockchain.
You can find the contract address of ACT on here, under the “Contract” section or copy this 0xabBA702E871Ee50e094dFA1cAf763c9b3D7cc219. Copy the contract address and go to your wallet. On Metamask, for example, you can add a custom token by clicking on the “Add Token” button, selecting the “Custom Token” tab, and pasting the contract address.
You should see the token symbol (ACT), the token name (ACT), and the token decimals (18) automatically filled. Click on the “Next” button and confirm the addition of the token.
Swap ACT on PancakeSwap.
Now that you have added ACT as a custom token to your wallet, you can swap it on PancakeSwap. To do this, go to the PancakeSwap website and click on the “Trade” tab on the left sidebar.
Select the “Swap” option and you will see a page where you can swap tokens. On the “From” field, select the token that you want to swap from, which is BNB. On the “To” field, select the token that you want to swap to, which is ACT in this case. You can also click on the “Select a currency” button and paste the contract address of ACT to find it. Enter the amount of tokens that you want to swap, or click on the “Max” button to swap the maximum amount available.
You will see the exchange rate, the minimum received, the price impact, and the liquidity provider fee on the bottom. If you are satisfied with the swap details, click on the “Swap” button and confirm the transaction on your wallet.
You should see the swapped tokens in your wallet shortly after.
You have successfully Swap your crypto to ACT. Now you can provide liquidity and start earning liquidity pool rewards or you can wait for the price of Actuate go up so that you can sell high.
